Poseida Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming best-in-class non-viral gene engineering technologies into life-saving therapies for the treatment of various intractable diseases. The company is independently developing an autologous and allogeneic CAR-T (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell) candidate product aimed at treating hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and certain rare genetic disorders. Poseida’s pipeline products aim to address limitations of other CAR-T therapies, including durability of response, ability to treat solid tumors, and safety concerns. The company’s lead candidate product, P-BCMA-101, is an autologous CAR-T therapy targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), currently enrolling patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma in a Phase 2 trial. Poseida is enrolling multiple myeloma patients who have failed prior treatments in the Phase 2 trial, where patients will be followed up on an outpatient basis rather than being hospitalized for treatment.
