Azure Biotech, Inc. is a newly established private women's health company led by a team of experienced pharmaceutical executives. The founding team identified a unique opportunity to repurpose data from over 15,000 women for pharmaceutical assets to address unmet medical needs in a growing market. Azure Biotech recently licensed Ligand Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to provide the compound lasofoxifene along with all related proprietary technology to develop novel formulations for underserved markets. Initial funding is currently being raised to complete formulation work and preclinical studies of the new formulation.
