In 1987, the AVID engineering team provided the first bottle vision measurement system for HDPE plastic bottle measurement to Silgan Plastics in Ligonier, Indiana. This marked the first time plastic bottle manufacturers utilized such equipment, replacing tedious micrometer and optical comparator measurements with automated measurement devices. Since its establishment in 1992, AVID Corporation has been providing vision-based customized measurement, inspection, and detection systems for both online and offline industrial applications. Our experience in advanced industrial video metrology and automation solutions has driven the development of systems that meet the stringent requirements of the industrial production, process control, and quality assurance markets.
