Basic Information
The roots of BTECH stem from the Singer Company, which was renowned for its sewing machines. In the 1980s, the company focused on numerous high-tech projects, one of which was dedicated to developing a method to predict battery failure. In 1989, when the Singer Company sold its sewing machine business and well-known brand to Semi-Tech International, the engineering team working on battery failure prediction purchased the license for the technology along with all future patents. In the basement of the former Vice President of Engineering, BTECH was born with the mission of commercializing this technology. The company’s early years were challenging, as significant time and effort were spent convincing the technical community that impedance monitoring and data trending could indeed predict failures. Fast forward to today—with over 4,000 global installations and a proven track record, there are no longer any doubts about our approach.
