As of April 24, 2007, Breakaway Imaging LLC was acquired by Medtronic, Inc. Breakaway Imaging, LLC is a medical device company that develops medical imaging systems for surgical procedures. The company's products include the O-arm Imaging System, a multi-dimensional surgical imaging system that provides real-time and three-dimensional images, as well as multi-planar, two-dimensional, and fluoroscopic imaging. Its systems are used in spine/orthopedic surgery, image-guided surgery, vascular surgery, emergency department/trauma unit/ICU applications.
