Basic Information
The activities of CBT Advisors include corporate positioning and strategy, communication and fundraising materials, as well as market analysis based on research and expert interviews. Clients include publicly traded companies in Europe and the United States (Applied Biosystems, Alnylam, Biogen-Idec, Celgene), life sciences venture capital funds, and private life sciences companies. Prior to founding CBT Advisors in 2003, Steve worked for four years in the venture capital division of TVM Capital. There, Steve’s deals included Sirna Therapeutics, which was sold to Merck in 2006 for $1.1 billion. Earlier, he was a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT, a freelance writer for *The Economist, Discover, Science, Geography, and Death*, and the founding chairman of the Munich-based Nature Foundation in Germany. Fluent in German, Steve graduated with honors in biochemistry from Princeton University.
