Biophore is a research-driven global pharmaceutical company focused on the development, manufacturing, and marketing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Its operational headquarters is located in Hyderabad, India, with a registered office in New Jersey, USA. Biophore has two dedicated R&D centers in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. The research facilities are equipped with various R&D and processing equipment from the United States, with reaction capabilities ranging from milligrams to kilograms. Since its establishment in 2007, Biophore has recognized two approaches to developing an API business: manufacturing a large basket of API products or selecting a few promising APIs within specific therapeutic categories for long-term growth. Biophore consciously chose the latter approach, focusing not only on building capabilities and scaling up in these areas but, more importantly, improving efficiency to become an undisputed leader in these products. Through its own R&D, process development, technology transfer, joint ventures, and collaborations, the product range continues to expand.
