BioConsortia is developing highly effective microbial consortia to enhance agricultural yields. Soil and plant-associated microbes interact with and complement the functions encoded by crop genomes. There are numerous opportunities to leverage these plant-microbe interactions, but overwhelming complexity and vast genetic diversity have hindered traditional R&D approaches. BioConsortia has developed a revolutionary Advanced Microbial Selection (AMS) method to improve crop traits, using iterative plant phenotyping and selection to re-select beneficial changes within the microbiome. Isolates are obtained from the microbiomes of plants expressing desired traits and are developed into commercial seed treatments, drenches, or granular products. We offer a range of products to improve fertilizer use efficiency, enhance growth, and promote other beneficial crop traits, such as abiotic tolerance and enhanced metabolite expression.
