BioAmber

BioAmber is a renewable chemicals company. We use plant-based materials and convert them into green chemicals that directly replace petroleum-derived chemicals. BioAmber combines industrial biotechnology and chemical catalysis to offer processes with a better carbon footprint than petrochemicals. In addition to moving away from petroleum, our process consumes CO2, directly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping to combat global warming. Today, BioAmber is the only producer of bio-succinic acid, a chemical building block used in many applications such as plastics, polyurethanes, solvents, personal care products, and plasticizers.
