BiO2 Medical, Inc., formerly known as Artificial Airway. BiO2 Medical, Inc. designs, develops, and manufactures medical devices. It has developed the Angel Catheter, a catheter-based IVC filter used to prevent pulmonary embolism in critically ill patients globally. The Angel Catheter allows for insertion and access to the central venous system for the administration of medications, fluids, or blood products; blood sampling; and monitoring of central venous pressure. BiO2 Medical, Inc., formerly known as BiO2 Medical Inc., was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, with an R&D and manufacturing facility in Golden, Colorado.
