Ballantine Publishing Group

Ballantine Books is a major book publisher based in the United States, founded by Ian Ballantine and his wife Betty Ballantine in 1952. It was acquired by Random House in 1973, which was then purchased by Bertelsmann in 1998 and remains part of the company to this day.
