Basic Information
Atomo Diagnostics was established to fully leverage the core concept that healthcare products offering significantly improved convenience, simplicity, and user experience have disproportionately disruptive potential and can become highly successful commercial market entrants. After identifying usability challenges and on-site limitations of existing RDT products, Atomo closely collaborated with healthcare workers and consumers across various environments. It determined that by integrating all testing components into a streamlined end-to-end solution, it could significantly enhance safety and accuracy while reducing user error rates. Atomo focuses on developing rapid diagnostic tests for a variety of infectious diseases, including HIV and malaria. The promotion of this technology will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to global health. The rapid diagnostic technology developed by the company requires only a single drop of blood from the subject to quickly produce results. Atomo's AtomoRapid product for HIV testing integrates blood sampling, blood collection, and component analysis into one device. When the device pierces the skin surface, its built-in lancet extracts 10 microliters of the patient’s blood and automatically transfers it to the HIV test strip for analysis. The entire process takes less than 15 minutes.
