Aradigm Corporation is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of products for the treatment and prevention of severe respiratory diseases. Aradigm Corporation's main development candidates are proprietary formulations of the potent antibiotic ciprofloxacin, including Linhaliq and Lipoquin, delivered via inhalation to treat infections associated with serious respiratory conditions, such as non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, and nontuberculous mycobacteria. Aradigm Corporation is also developing inhaled ciprofloxacin formulations for the treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis and has tested them for the prevention and treatment of inhaled bioterrorism infections, such as Coxiella burnetii or Q fever, inhalational anthrax, tularemia, melioidosis, and pneumonic plague.
