Arch Chemicals is a global specialty chemicals company headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut, with two major business segments: treatment products and performance products. Treatment products include chemicals used for disinfecting drinking water and swimming pools; industrial biocides that inhibit the growth of microorganisms in metalworking fluids, paints, and other coatings; industrial wood preservatives and fire retardants; stains and varnishes for coated wood; and active ingredients and preservatives used in shampoos, cosmetics, and other personal care products.
