AMD is the leading cause of adult blindness in developed countries. It affects more than 30 million people worldwide, with one in six being over the age of 65 and one in three over the age of 75. Despite the significant value of early detection, there is currently no effective method to diagnose the condition before severe vision loss occurs. The company’s AdaptDx diagnostic can detect and track the early stages of AMD, enabling early intervention.
