The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) released guidelines for hypofractionated radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer, with the primary aim of providing recommendations for moderate hypofractionation (240-340 cGy per fraction) and extreme hypofractionation (500 cGy or more per fraction) in the treatment of localized prostate cancer.
