In 1996, ABX took the lead in providing high-quality precursor compounds for the molecular imaging field, thereby developing industrial PET and SPECT radiopharmaceutical production. From the perspective of academic research methods, molecular imaging has evolved into a standard diagnostic modality in clinical oncology and neuroscience.In 1998, ABX recognized the unmet need for specialized expertise in the development of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and established a CRO division, which participated in many significant developments. Today, molecular therapy has become an acknowledged approach to cancer treatment. ABX-CRO was founded as an independent full-service CRO in 2002. Due to its history, ABX-CRO has consistently focused on oncology, neuroscience, and imaging indications. With our unique interdisciplinary setup involving pharmacists, physicists, pharmacologists, imaging specialists, and regulatory experts, ABX-CRO has successfully implemented some of the most unusual trials (e.g., imaging trials in psychiatric patients) with the same reliability as standard protocols.
