Noveome Biotherapeutics, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing next-generation biologics to promote and restore cellular integrity in inflamed or damaged tissues. Noveome has initiated a program to test its novel platform biologic, ST266, for treating severe inflammatory responses associated with COVID-19 infections. ST266 is currently being evaluated across multiple indications, including a Phase 1 open-label clinical trial to determine the safety of ST266 in intranasal delivery from the nose to the brain and eyes, and a Phase 2 open-label clinical trial assessing the efficacy of ST266 in healing persistent corneal epithelial defects (PED).
