Tonal, headquartered in San Francisco, USA, was founded by CEO Aly Orady in 2015. The company launched a home strength training machine in 2018, the wall-mounted Tonal (same as the company name). The device combines AI, interactive LED screen, electromagnetic induction, and video instructions to simulate various weightlifting equipment using pull cords on both arms.
