Mirus Bio is a life sciences company that discovers, develops, and commercializes nucleic acid technologies and products. It offers transfection reagents, electroporation kits and solutions, DNA and RNA labeling reagents, in vivo delivery products, and accessories. Mirus was founded on the principle that non-viral (i.e., plasmid DNA-based) gene transfer methods offer significant advantages over viral methods. The company develops various non-viral delivery technologies utilizing proteins, polymers, and lipids, combined with novel chemistries, to provide unique nucleic acid delivery capabilities. In 2001, our scientists applied the fundamental principles of delivery to the emerging field of RNA interference and introduced the first transfection reagent specifically designed to deliver siRNA with the highest efficiency: TransIT-TKO® Transfection Reagent.
