Basic Information

Imago BioSciences aims to develop drugs that improve the management of myeloproliferative diseases, focusing on small-molecule candidates targeting lysine-specific demethylase 1, or LSD1, an enzyme that plays a central role in blood cell production in the bone marrow. In addition to extending life expectancy, we are also dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for patients with cancer and bone marrow diseases. Our lead candidate is bomedemstat, which is used to treat certain myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), a related family of chronic bone marrow cancers. The three most common types of MPNs are myelofibrosis (MF), essential thrombocythemia (ET), and polycythemia vera (PV). We are currently enrolling patients in a Phase 2 clinical trial of bomedemstat for ET and have completed patient recruitment for a Phase 2 clinical trial of bomedemstat for MF.
