The company's sales in 2017 reached $10.6 billion, covering two business segments: BioScience and Medical Products.Baxter's BioScience business produces recombinant and plasma protein therapies for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Plasma-based therapies are used to treat immunodeficiencies and other chronic and acute blood-related diseases; products for regenerative medicine and vaccines are also included.Baxter's Medical Products business manufactures intravenous products and other devices for delivering fluids and medications to patients; inhalation anesthetics; contract manufacturing services; and products for treating end-stage renal disease or irreversible kidney failure, including those used for peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis.
