SFA Therapeutics

SFA Therapeutics, founded in 2017, is a biopharmaceutical startup focused on developing microbiome-derived metabolites as drugs to treat diseases such as chronic inflammation. The company is led by CEO Dr. Ira Spector, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and an MBA from Drexel University. He has participated in drug development at several well-known biotechnology companies, including Pfizer, Wyeth, and Allergan. Additionally, he is a co-founder of three biotech startups and has been involved in 33 NDA applications and the development of 12 medical devices.
