The company operates both gene replacement therapy and gene editing therapy platforms. Based on common pathogenic genes and mutation hotspots of hereditary retinal degeneration in China, combined with the pathogenesis of these genes, it develops either gene replacement or gene editing therapies. Currently, two gene replacement therapy projects and four gene editing therapy projects are underway, with two animal experiments completed and small-scale clinical trials about to commence.CHIGENOVO's platform for genetic diagnosis of hereditary eye diseases holds third-party medical laboratory qualifications and can provide fast, accurate, reliable, and professional clinical genetic diagnostic services for patients with hereditary eye diseases.
