Riot is built on Matrix, an open standard for decentralized persistent communication.Riot allows teams to share data and collaborate on projects across different communication apps and third-party tools. It uses Matrix to bridge external networks such as Slack, IRC, Twitter, and Gitter. It also offers hosted integrations for third-party applications like GitHub, Jira, and Jenkins, relying on Matrix for bot and other integration developments.
