Actimis Pharmaceuticals

Actimis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a startup biopharmaceutical company focused on developing small molecule therapies for respiratory and inflammatory diseases. Actimis was spun out from Bayer Healthcare AG's respiratory disease therapeutic research portfolio. The spin-off was founded by Dr. Kevin Bacon and received venture financing led by Sanderling Ventures in San Mateo, California, and Mitsui & Co Venture Partners in New York. Dr. Bacon most recently served as Vice President and Global Head of Respiratory Disease Research at Bayer Yakuhin Ltd. in Japan, where the program was initiated.
