Anthos Therapeutics' mission is to develop innovative therapies that combine the agility of biotechnology with the rigor of large pharmaceutical companies to enhance care for patients with cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Our most advanced program centers on abelacimab, an investigational monoclonal antibody that achieves deep inhibition of the novel antithrombotic target factor XI through dual activity targeting both factor XI itself and its activated form, factor XIa. Abelacimab represents a promising next-generation anticoagulant with the potential to deliver "hemostatic anticoagulation": significant protection against arterial and venous thromboembolic events while reducing the risk of clinically significant bleeding. Thromboembolic events account for one-quarter of global deaths and remain a leading cause of mortality worldwide.
