Basic Information

Biocodex is a French family-owned pharmaceutical company headquartered in the Paris area. Founded in 1953, the company was established around the development and commercialization of Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745, the world's first probiotic yeast strain discovered in 1923. Since then, Biocodex has evolved from a pioneer in the microbiota field to a major international player. Meanwhile, the Biocodex Research and Development Center has focused on the central nervous system field by developing the orphan drug DIACOMIT®. In late 2019, Biocodex continued its diversification by acquiring Iprad Laboratories, which specializes in women's health.
