In 2011, Qualcomm established Capsule Tech (originally named Qualcomm Life) to expand its business in the medical field. Capsule Tech operates multiple intelligent care platforms, including Capsule (a platform providing medical device connectivity solutions for hospitals) and 2net (a medical-grade mobile connectivity platform). These platforms can connect all medical devices and clinical management systems, offering customers personalized and precise care solutions. Currently, Capsule Tech’s intelligent care platforms are utilized in clinical information systems by over 2,000 hospitals across 40 countries.In February 2019, Qualcomm sold its subsidiary Qualcomm Life to the private equity firm Francisco Partners. Following the acquisition, Qualcomm Life began operating independently and was renamed Capsule Tech.
