Calcivis

Calcivis is a privately owned and funded company established in 2012, with its headquarters located in Edinburgh, Scotland. The company was founded to develop and commercialize a new technology addressing significant unmet needs in dentistry. This technology was co-invented by the University of Dundee and another Scottish SME, LUX Innovate. In August 2012, Calcivis completed a £1.2 million fundraising round led by Archangels Informal Investment and acquired the technology along with all associated intellectual property from the university and LUX. Calcivis and its management team are based at the Edinburgh BioQuarter in the southern part of the city, adjacent to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The company operates a virtual development model, collaborating with a range of contract research and manufacturing organizations, primarily located in Scotland.
