EBR Systems, Inc. was founded in 2003 and is dedicated to developing implantable systems for wireless tissue stimulation, with an initial focus on addressing the well-recognized limitations of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in treating heart failure. Based on a unique concept, the proprietary WiSE technology aims to eliminate the need for left ventricular leads in CRT and the associated complications of such leads.
