Arvelle Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company with the mission of providing innovative solutions for patients suffering from central nervous system disorders. Cenobamate (YKP3089), discovered by SK Biopharmaceuticals and SK Life Science, is a new antiepileptic drug (AED) approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in adults. Cenobamate is expected to be launched in the United States pending scheduling review by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in 2020. It has not been approved by any other regulatory authority.Arvelle Therapeutics has obtained exclusive rights from SK Biopharmaceuticals to develop and commercialize cenobamate in Europe. Arvelle Therapeutics intends to submit a Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) to the European Union for cenobamate based on data generated in the first half of 2020 from SK Life Science’s global clinical trial program, for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in adult patients.
