Vor Biopharma is an immuno-oncology company dedicated to developing novel therapies with broad potential for cancer treatment. Vor Biopharma focuses on developing technologies that can selectively target cancer cells without affecting normal cells. Cell surface-targeting immunotherapies, such as bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells, often simultaneously target both cancer cells and normal cells, causing substantial toxicity and limiting their potential. Vor Biopharma is taking a fundamentally novel approach by developing hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) that selectively target cancer. These HSCs are engineered to be resistant to specific targeted immunotherapies. The HSCs are designed to produce healthy, functional cells, which can also be protected from depletion by cancer-targeting therapies.
