MultiVir is a clinical-stage gene therapy company dedicated to developing a range of candidate products for the treatment of various tumor indications. The company's lead candidates, which have completed Phase 1 clinical trials, include Ad-p53, a genetically modified adenovirus designed to deliver the normal p53 tumor suppressor gene, targeting fundamental molecular defects present in various cancers; and Ad-IL24, an engineered adenovirus modified to deliver the tumor suppressor gene interleukin-24, which exhibits p53-like tumor suppressive activity along with certain immune-stimulating properties.
