MIRNA Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical and immuno-oncology company developing a broad leading portfolio of microRNA-based oncology treatments. Mirna's lead program, MRX34, is a first-in-class cancer compound and the first miRNA mimic candidate to enter clinical trials. MRX34 is currently being studied in a Phase 1 clinical trial that includes patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, other solid tumors, and hematologic malignancies. The Phase 1 clinical trial is expected to enroll approximately 120 patients, with results anticipated by the end of 2015. Mirna’s patent portfolio related to its proprietary microRNA mimic technology includes 12 issued U.S. patents, covering claims related to the therapeutic use of tumor suppressor microRNAs in 17 types of cancer and non-cancer indications, as well as over 100 pending U.S. and foreign patent applications owned or licensed from third parties.
