Allena Pharmaceuticals is a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and marketing first-in-class oral enzyme therapies to treat patients with rare and severe metabolic and kidney diseases. Allena's lead product candidate, reloxaliase, is currently being evaluated in a pivotal Phase 3 clinical program for the treatment of enteric hyperoxaluria, a metabolic disorder characterized by significantly elevated levels of urinary oxalate, often associated with kidney stones, chronic kidney disease, and other serious kidney conditions. Allena is also developing ALLN-346 for the treatment of hyperuricemia in gout patients with advanced chronic kidney disease, having recently completed a multiple ascending dose study, with plans for a Phase 2a program in the second half of 2021.
