Developer of Therapeutics for Rare and Orphan Diseases

Basic Information

Grace Therapeutics, Inc. (formerly Acasti Pharma Inc.) is a late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on drug candidates for the treatment of rare and orphan diseases. Grace Therapeutics’ novel drug delivery technology aims to enhance the performance of currently marketed drugs by accelerating onset of action, improving efficacy, reducing side effects, and enabling more convenient drug administration. The company’s lead clinical product, GTx-104, is an intravenous infusion indicated for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH), a rare and life-threatening medical emergency characterized by bleeding into the subarachnoid space between the brain and the skull. GTx-104 has been granted Orphan Drug Designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). If specific conditions are met at the time of New Drug Application (NDA) approval, this designation confers seven years of market exclusivity upon commercialization. The product is further protected by intellectual property rights covering 52 issued and pending patents.
