The Accelerate Pheno® system and Accelerate PhenoTest® BC kit combine multiple technologies aimed at reducing the time clinicians must wait to determine the optimal antibiotic therapy for life-threatening infections. The system and kit fully automate the sample preparation steps to report phenotypic antibiotic susceptibility results approximately 7 hours after positive blood culture. Recent external studies have shown that this solution delivers results 1-2 days faster than existing methods, allowing clinicians to optimize antibiotic selection and dosage for individual patients days earlier.
