It offers drug products targeting oncology, endocrinology, neuromuscular disorders, as well as gastroenterology, cardiovascular diseases, and cognitive impairments. The company's products include: Decapeptyl, an injectable peptide formulation used to treat advanced prostate cancer. Somatuline and Somatuline Autogel are long-acting formulations of somatostatin analog peptides for injection used to treat acromegaly. NutropinAq is a daily recombinant human growth hormone liquid formulation used to treat growth failure. Increlex is a recombinant human insulin-like growth factor-1 used for normal bone growth. Dysport works by blocking the release of acetylcholine to treat movement disorders and various forms of muscle spasms, including cervical dystonia. Smecta is an oral clay-based medication used to treat chronic and acute diarrhea in adults and children and provides symptomatic relief from pain associated with esophageal, gastric, duodenal, or colonic diseases. Forlax is used to treat constipation in adults and children. Tanakan is an oral formulation of egb761 extracted from ginkgo leaves, used to treat age-related cognitive impairments. As of December 31, 2007, Tanakan has been approved for use in about 60 countries, including Europe and Asia. Adrovance is used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis patients at risk of vitamin D deficiency. Adenuric is used to treat chronic hyperuricemia. Nisis and Nisisco are oral formulations containing valsartan used to treat arterial hypertension. On June 15, 2009, Ipsen S.A. and Pharnext SAS announced that they had signed an exclusive research, development, and marketing agreement regarding an innovative candidate drug released by Polytherapix for the treatment of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Ipsen was founded in 1929.
