Dewpoint TherapeuticsDewpoint, founded by Anthony Hyman from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden and Richard Young from the Whitehead Institute, is dedicated to transforming new insights into biomolecular condensates and cellular functions to discover treatments for the most challenging diseases.Biomolecular condensates have long been known but historically understudied because they are difficult to analyze using traditional drug discovery methods such as protein crystallography and biochemical activity assays. Condensates are well-defined, membraneless organelles found within cells that utilize intrinsically disordered regions of proteins to organize specific proteins and nucleic acids in the cell, concentrating them at high levels to enhance chemical reactions vital to cellular life.
