Aerpio Therapeutics is a new clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing novel small molecules and monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of vascular diseases and enhanced wound healing. Aerpio was created in a spin-off transaction from Akebia Therapeutics with the aim of accelerating the development of its promising compounds. It is managed by the same successful team from Akebia, employing a similar outsourcing approach for drug development.
