KAR Auction Services provides vehicle auction services in North America through its subsidiaries. It is divided into three segments: ADESA Auctions, IAAI, and AFC. ADESA Auctions includes wholesale auctions related to the resale of used vehicles, including auction services, resale, or preparation services. It offers vehicles from car rental companies, recovered vehicles, leased vehicles, and other fleet vehicles. This division also provides value-added ancillary services such as inspections, warehousing, transportation, refurbishment, and administrative services like title transfer. It serves commercial fleet operators, financial institutions, car rental companies, used car dealerships, automobile manufacturers and their affiliated finance companies, as well as franchised and independent used car dealers.
