IGC Pharma, Inc. has developed advanced cannabinoid-based formulations for the treatment of diseases and conditions, including but not limited to Alzheimer's disease, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), dysmenorrhea, and sleep disorders. IGC owns two investigational drug assets targeting Alzheimer’s disease: IGC-AD1 and TGR-63, both of which have demonstrated potential to effectively inhibit or improve key hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease, such as plaques or tangles, in Alzheimer’s cell lines. IGC-AD1 is a low-dose formulation based on tetrahydrocannabinol (“THC”) currently undergoing a Phase 2 clinical trial with 146 participants for the treatment of agitation in dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease (clinicaltrials.gov, NCT05543681).
