T2 Biosystems is developing innovative diagnostic products to improve patient health. T2 Biosystems has two FDA-approved products, targeting sepsis (one of the leading causes of death in hospitals) and a range of other products, positioning itself as an emerging leader in the in vitro diagnostics field. Initial development efforts are focused on sepsis, bacteremia, bacterial infections, and Lyme disease—areas with significant unmet medical needs. The company is leveraging its proprietary T2 Magnetic Resonance platform (T2MR®) to develop a wide array of applications aimed at helping healthcare professionals make targeted treatment decisions earlier, thereby reducing mortality, improving patient outcomes, and lowering healthcare costs.
