PQ Bypass, Inc. has pioneered a first-of-its-kind technology to address the complexity of treating severe peripheral artery disease (PAD). A medical device company dedicated to researching treatment options for PAD patients. The leg arteries of PAD patients are blocked by fat deposits over time, preventing blood from flowing to the legs and feet. Many patients lose their ability to walk, and in severe cases, amputation becomes necessary. To address this, PQ Bypass has developed a new technology for PAD—percutaneous stent bypass (DETOUR technology).The technology developed by PQ Bypass offers the advantages of a minimally invasive approach. During the procedure, PQ Bypass uses proprietary stent graft technology to reroute oxygen-rich blood, restoring circulation to the calves and feet of PAD patients.
