Hupnos

Hupnos is a technology healthcare startup founded by Curtis Ray in 2015. The company has designed an EPAP system controlled by a smartphone application. The app can listen to the sounds users make while sleeping and determine whether they are snoring. A three-axis accelerometer inside the mask monitors user movement to ascertain whether they are awake. When snoring is detected, the smart anti-snore mask applies pressure by closing the exhalation valve until the snoring stops. If the user is sensed to be awake, the smart anti-snore mask opens the exhalation valve, ensuring normal breathing is not affected.
