Oculis is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with the mission of developing novel topical treatments (eye drops) for ocular diseases in both the posterior and anterior segments of the eye to improve the lives of patients worldwide. Innovative ophthalmic treatments targeting millions of patients globally, Oculis’ strategy is to build a distinctive ophthalmology-focused company. Our plan is to further advance the commercialization of our lead candidate, OC-118, as a new treatment option for DME patients, while leveraging our proprietary SNP technology to develop a clinical pipeline for topical treatments targeting posterior and anterior segment diseases, based on internal developments, along with expanding assets through supplementary licensing. The potential paradigm shift in DME treatment offered by OC-118 could be transformative. Our most advanced product candidate based on SNP technology is OC-118, which is currently in clinical trials for DME patients and in the planning stage for potential anterior segment indications. If approved for DME, it has the potential to offer a new treatment option for patients currently limited to intravitreal injections or implants. Transitioning from injections to eye drops for posterior segment diseases, our new technology provides unprecedented advancements in ocular drug delivery, particularly for posterior segment diseases that are currently treated via invasive methods such as intravitreal injections or implants.
