Bleeding Monitoring System R&D Company

Basic Information

Saranas Develops Technology for Early Detection and Monitoring of Bleeding Complications Related to Vascular AccessThe Early Bird Bleed Monitoring System includes a vascular access sheath with embedded sensors that measure the electrical resistance of blood vessels. By detecting changes in vascular resistance, the Early Bird is designed to identify and monitor bleeding from blood vessels accidentally injured during endovascular procedures, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement, placement of large-bore hemodynamic support devices, or other complex cardiac interventions where the femoral artery or femoral vein is used to access the heart’s vasculature. This technology was invented by the Texas Heart Institute.
