Our mission at Talee Bio is to transform the course of cystic fibrosis and other hereditary lung diseases by developing new gene therapies. Our gene therapy technology aims to overcome the barriers that have so far hindered effective gene therapy for cystic fibrosis. Talee Bio has two candidate gene therapy products for the treatment of cystic fibrosis. The main obstacles to cystic fibrosis gene therapy are poor efficacy (i.e., transduction efficiency, expression durability, packaging capacity, avoidance of immunogenicity), low safety and tolerability (including genotoxicity from vectors causing genomic integration), and inability to manufacture sufficient quantities of the vector. Our proprietary platform technology and candidate products are designed to address all of these shortcomings.
