Aro Biotherapeutics was co-founded in 2018 by Dr. Sue Dillon, former R&D head of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical, and Dr. Karyn O'Neil, with its headquarters in Philadelphia. Currently, the company has recruited a highly mature scientific team and executive management team. Dr. O'Neil and her team at Johnson & Johnson discovered Centyrin protein therapy, granting Aro Biotherapeutics the global exclusive license for the research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of Centyrin protein therapy.
